All in all.. a good day. Actually, Abby was just saying at 9:00pm this evening that this was the first day in 2 weeks that she had not cried. At about 9:30 she spontaneously burst into tears. Ah well.. there's always tommorrow.
Babies are holding their own. They say Dillon might come off the respirator tomorrow (Thu). He has dropped 60 grams (down from 890 to 830) but they say that is OK for his growth rate. Madeleine has not lost any weight yet. She had another chest x-ray, and although she still has lots of fluid in her chest, it seems to be less than Monday. The nurses continue to be very supportive. They were showing Abby how to clean out Madeleine's mouth with a swab today (she cannot swallow yet). Her namesake, Abby's good friend Madeleine came to visit today, bringing gifts and love.
Abby ventured outside today for the first time since she got here. She immediately started cursing at the cold. She's definitely feeling better! She got very cold for no particular reason this evening, (hence the crying), but it seemed to pass by 2:00am. We're in for the night again. Thanks for all the wonderful comments.

Hi Abby & David,
Sorry your having such a hard time Abby but with all you've been going through & now the raging hormones it's no wonder you're crying buckets! Tears are very healing so just let them go.
With all the love & prayers winging your way I hope they keep Madeleine safe, The hospital staff seem to be doing a wonderful job of care for them & concern for you, the Mummy & Daddy.
We're all thinking of you & willing everything to be alright.
Colston says to say hi & he's sending lots of good wishes & love from England.
Take lots of good care & thank you again David for the wonderful blog.
Lots of love to you all

I am so glad to hear that the babies are doing well and that you are able to move around more and get some fresh air. Thinking about you guys and sending some healing vibes.
Okay, do you guys realize that this blog is now the highlight of my work day? I tune in like I'm watching a soap opera - I think I'm addicted! ;-)
And keep up the pictures (I notice there are no pictures ever of you David)
Seriously though, I'm so happy that you guys always seem to get some good news. Wonderful! I'm sure the babies will continue to strengthen and blossom! And Abby, glad to hear that you're getting up and around (and cursing).
love and hugs, Gina (and Larry sends his best too)
I'm sending you a good, long virutal hug Abby. It's so great to hear that both of those beautiful little 'uns made it past the 3-day milestone. I can't say I'm surprised though...they are they children of Abby and David... that can only mean strong, smart, and caring. Warmest wishes to you all. Catherine
Hi David and Abby:
I cry everday now too Abby. Everytime I read the posts. For many reasons, whether it's out of joy when I hear they are doing well, sadness and fear when I read about their pain and yours, or just because I am so toched by something hat David says about them and you! Just thought I's let you know that you're not alone. Just imagine if I had all of the hormones you have going through me that you do!
As far as I can tell things are running smoothly at Dogcity, Lisa hasn't been calling. Let me know if you need me to do anything.
Hi Abby & Dave,
First of all, Happy Belated Birthday Abby!
Congratulations on your 2 beautiful and wonderful babies...How typical of Abby to have a boy and girl to get the job done! Anyways, I saw Ken and Linda the other day and they gave me the news so I wanted to check and see how things were going. I am glad to see that Dillon and Madeline are getting stronger and our prayers are with both of you and the kids. I was born at 28 weeks myself and that was 35 years ago! With all the medical marvels these days, Madeline and Dillon are in great hands. Keep updating and hugs and kisses to you both.
