At 7:15 local time, Abby gave birth to a boy and his twin sister came out at 7:20 (sorry, no names yet). Everyone is healthy. Abby is recovering and awake, but groggy, and we have moved rooms to post natal care. Babies are both up in NICU, in little incubators with breathing & feeding tubes.
The stats: Baby girl weighs 650 grams (1 lb 7oz) and is 31 cm (12 1/4 in) long. Baby boy is 890 grams (1 lb 15oz) and is 34 cm (13 1/4 in) long. Both are kicking and moving and beautiful. Now the next waiting game begins. We will know a lot more over the next 48 hours as they develop.
