No big changes in the babies' condition today, other than they are both a little calmer. No real improvements, but no setbacks either. We'll take that. I changed Madeleine's diaper today for the first time. She has ridiculously small diapers!

We learned today that they are going to try and keep us in the hospital guest room until October 1st, when we will likely move into a hotel. Abby is feeling better today, and has a follow up appointment with Dr. Motan tomorrow. She is walking a little further, and although still not fully mobile, seems to be improving.

That's about all the breaking news for today. Madeleine is growing tiny blonde eyelashes, and has a little bit of blonde hair on her head. Dillon's hair is a little darker. Here's a few more pics of the increasingly cute alien babies.

Little Dillon...

And Madeleine too....

She is clearly the daughter of a geek, as she has already perfected her Star Trek Vulcan salute!

Hi Abby and Dave and beautiful babies. I just checked in to the blog for the first time and of course read everything through twice in hope and disbelief at the miracle of human life and modern science. I join you in tears Abby at the wonder of it all. I can see how they have grown and filled out since the beginning and have faith that this will continue to be the situation for the babes.

I am in Philadelphia for a while staying with Eilidh and Waylon who has his first day of Kindergarten tomorrow, the 19th . It is great to be here and of course I am doing the usual fixing and painting around the house to keep me out of trouble. Eilidh is busy with her new job at the Adventure Aquarium across the bridge in Camden N.J.
She works for Aramark , world's largest food provider ,which has the food contract with the Aquarium and Eilidh's job is the Catering Sales Manager. The Currents ballroom has the gala opening on October 24th and is being booked for meetings, weddings already into the next year. Google Currentsballroom for a peak at a mockup . The ballroom was built on one side of the shark tank and there are three movie sized windows on one side. I went through the ballroom yesterday with the GM and it will be really something ..right on the river across from Philadelphia which has an amazing skyline.
I hope this info provided a minor distraction from the mixed and challenging emotions and decisions you must face throughout the day. My hopes and thoughts are with you and I believe you both have the power to bring these lovely babies home to grow up with you . love jen

hi you guys, sorry I haven't written in awhile, but I'm still following along. The pictures are great - I like Madeleine's hat, and the diaper size is adorable. I'm still trying to grasp their size. I see the hand beside them but still...I'm sure in person it's just so much more 3-dimensional. You are all in my thoughts a lot and I continue to send out my prayers for Dillon & Madeleine's growth and strength.
love,
Gina

Hi Abby and Dave,
You guys are doing such a great job being there for your babies and I can't get over the change I see in them already!!! Those pictures of Dillon today just floored me...he looks like he's getting some good baby fat on him! They both look fantastic!
I log on everyday... thanks for keeping us all posted back here in BC!
