Madeleine has to be just like her brother

In typical sibling rivalry fashion.. Madeline is now on a constant air-flow with her SiPap machine, just like her brother. Both are doing well, and increasing in weight. She is now 2lb 11oz, and he is 3lb 9oz.

The doctors are thinking we might be out of Level III ICU (the highest) in 3 weeks or so. Moving to Level II would mean they are off any breathing assistance (no masks or SiPap), and Abby would be able to start breastfeeding them. This would also be a major step towards getting them home to Vancouver. Everyone cross their collective fingers please!

I'm in Vancouver this week, so no new pics or videos.. :-( Sorry. Will be back in Edmonton Friday , so look for some new ones this weekend.

Congratulations on both Madeleine and Dillon being off of their ventilators! That is wonderful news. They're taking all of their little baby steps in the right direction. Hopefully they'll continue those steps in the direction of Vancouver! You mentioned that RCH might be a possibility (that's where Katie was.)
We look forward to David's next update. Take care.

This is Margaret (Heather's friend): Congratulations on the birth of your son and daughter! I just received your bloglink, skimming through it, thinking what troopers you all are!!! Abby, you're a supermom, going through all of this with your chin up :)
What a journey this is, hope you make it home soon. The pix are wonderful, the kids look great, nice to see the baby fat on ones so tiny.
All the best for continued good health and development.
