OK.. they seem to have fixed the upload problem, so I can post pics from the last few days, plus a few vids. Another good day today, with the doctors saying both are doing well. One of them even indicated that they might be trying to take them off the Si-Pap and trying breathing by themselves as early as next week! We are keeping our fingers crossed, as the earlier they get breathing by themselves, the earlier they get home.
They are both steadily gaining weight, on average gaining 10 grams per day. Dillon is ingesting about 200 ml of breast milk per day ( a can of beer is 355 ml, so a little over 1/2 a beer), and Madeleine is ingesting 150 ml a day (little less than 1/2 a wine cooler). Little drunkards!
Dad held both of the twins, and they clearly loved it. All went well, so on to the pics.
Papa with Madeleine
Dillon on Mom (green tube is his feeding tube)
Madeleine snuggled on Mom
Dillon on Monday right after being extubated (his cheeks still red from the tape)
Dillon and mom, on Monday, still on the ventilator
Madeleine coming out of the incubator for a visit with Mom, stretching as tall as she can....
And last but not least.. Madeleine has discovered the crack-cocaine known as her soother. There is no turning back now.

Good Mornin' Mom, Dad Grandpa, Dillon and Maddy
What a beautiful family! I can feel the love and excitement all the way out here! When the videos put real life into the pictures...well, I just can't tell you...it's so awesome!
The way those little munchkins are gaining weight, it's no wonder that they look bigger every day...they are!
Whatever you're all doing, keep it up!
Hugs and kisses to all 'til tomorrow, Lil XOX
Hi Ab and Dave
I love the videos - really bring it all to life, perhaps your voices would be great too? So happy they are getting stronger and potentially breathing on their own next week - good job! Talk about survival skills!
Ab - you look so much better, obviously back to your old self now!
Hope to see you soon if you return my emails and calls....:)
