Still having some technical challenges here, so apologies for no update yesterday. Abby is continuing to get better, and so are babies. They said they might even take Madeleine off the respirator this weekend (she pulls out her tubes herself every other day, so maybe she is trying to tell us something). She is down on her Morphine and will probably be weaned off it in the next few days. She is not gaining any weight, but they are going to increase her feeds and see what happens. She is pooing and peeing, so the nurses are not overly concerned yet.
Dillon is gaining more weight (another oz yesterday) and is sleeping most of the time. He is quite settled and stable, although they would like him to breathe on his own more without the respirator. He is relying on it a bit too much.
Here they are snuggled up in bed. They can now be "tucked in" now that they are off the UV lights.

Dave, those pictures are so adorable! I'll bet it feels so much cozier for them too...no wonder Dillon is sleeping so much.
And that's a good thing. I remember being worried that Mike was sleeping too much when he was a baby and the doctor told me that when they are newborn, sleep does them as much good as food. That's when they do all their growing.
And I think we've already established that Madeleine knows exactly what she's doing! haha
Keep getting stronger Ab.... I think you're going to need it!
